What do you do?
I develop computer games – mainly for the mobile market. I am also currently developing a multiplayer game set in space for the PC market.

I do everything from coding and graphics work to music and sound. I’ve been a computer gamer for a long time and have been a game tester for several major game developers in the world. I’ve released 2 mobile games so far and am keen to finish some others I have been working on recently. I moved to Newcastle almost 17 years ago from Sydney with my family.

The difficult part of the job is coming up with ideas for games that are original and different to what has already been developed. Once an idea comes up, I do some concept artwork (I hand draw a lot of artwork and convert it to digital on the computer) and start creating code to get a feel if the idea is a viable one. Once I have the basics of a game in development I spend time developing the game graphics. I have a few friends who test my work before it is released and listen to their feedback and make changes as needed before I release them.

What inspired you to get involved in Renew Newcastle?
I think that the idea behind Renew Newcastle is wonderful. Without Renew Newcastle and their partnership with building owners I would not be able to afford an office as a start up. Renew Newcastle has given me a chance to move out of home and into a space where I can “go to work”.

What are you doing in your space?
My project space is pretty much just like any normal office, a desk and a computer where I do my work.
