Who are you?
I was born in Dumfries, Scotland, but was raised in Stornoway, on the Isle of Lewis, a remote town in the Western Isles, Scotland, above the Isle of Skye. I have lived all over Europe and overseas, and was trained by the Founder of the UK National “Paint-Magic” franchise, Jocasta Innes, in Islington, London, on Interior Design and Painting techniques in particular; Stencil, Stucco, Marble, Trompe l’oeil & Painted Furniture. This is where my love of playing with colour and interior design began. I have exhibited works in Central Coast, NSW, Sydney & Melbourne as well as private commissions. My solo exhibition at the Louis Joel Gallery, “One Woman Show” sold over 60% as well as several private commissions for my Mixed Media works.

During a brief relocation to Melbourne I was mentored by Jan Neil as well a Victorian Printmakers, Kevin Foley and Jeff Gardner – Cascade Print Room.  Since returning to NSW I have had considerable success with my Large Statement Piece “Mixed Media Works” and have sold overseas to UK, USA, Asia and Canada.

What are you doing at The Stage?
Lorna will be exhibiting her latest series of abstract works in vibrant and bold colours in acrylics, inks and resin to the public for the months of August and September. Known for her large mixed media statement pieces, Lorna is fast becoming noticed in the Sydney and overseas markets. Her Yacht Series has sold to UK, ASIA, USA, Canada and New Zealand as well as Australia and the latest series of resin art pieces are in high demand due to their depth of colour and unique style.

As well as producing works for sale Lorna will also be conducting a series of Art Workshops at “The Stage” including her successful RESIN ART workshops which always sell out.

RESIN ART is a popular & trending medium and fantastic for creating a BOLD Statement in either a home or business. It has an extremely quick drying time – enabling you to hang your finished Artwork the very next day. A link to events are below:
