Who are you and what do you do?
I am a multi-disciplinary artist primarily working in music and visual art. My work explores the comedic contradictions of life and love as viewed through both the macro and micro. I’m also a total ham and will do anything for a laugh. I’m currently focusing my energies on the production of an album of original material and a series of accompanying visuals. I offer creative consultancy, photography, sound engineering and music composition for Film and TV.
What inspired you to get involved with Renew Newcastle?
I returned to Newcastle 3 years ago and I’ve wanted to get involved with Renew Newcastle for some time now. I’ve always been hugely grateful to Marcus Westbury and Renew for the deep and lasting impact that it has had in transforming Newcastle’s CBD and creative culture. It wasn’t until I saw the Clock Tower Studios at an opportune moment that I was inspired to put the wheels in motion to acquire a space for my creative work.
What are you doing in your new space?
I am using the space to explore my writing, photography, graphic design, music production and performance ideas for stage and film.
