about LOOK HEAR Shop

UPDATE DECEMBER 2013: As a temporary installation to coincide with Hit The Bricks street art festival, the LOOK HEAR shop has ceased trading. Keep in touch with upcoming design & art event announcements via their Facebook page.

Every year since 2009 design festival LOOK HEAR has invited some of the finest and most reputable creative professionals around Australia to Newcastle to share their perspectives on industry, technique and process.

LOOK HEAR embraces all creative disciplines and invites attendees to soak in the creative atmosphere and be inspired, entertained and informed through a series of presentations, workshops and exhibitions.

In October 2013 LOOK HEAR presented the annual exhibition LOOK SEE at Watt Space Gallery. Themed ‘Directors Cut’ artists and designers were invited to submit works inspired by a favourite film. A full list of those creative folk involved can be found here.

Between 22-24 November, LOOK HEAR, alongside local artists Michael Langenegger and Sally Bourke developed street art festival Hit The Bricks. A total of 12 official locations throughout the Newcastle CBD and inner suburbs became canvases for more than 14 artists including Adnate, Sofles, Beastman, Shida and Numskull. A map of locations can be found here.

The LOOK HEAR Shop runs alongside the Hit The Bricks festival to sell limited edition prints, tees and artworks by artists involved in both the LOOK SEE exhibition and Hit The Bricks.
