0 to 100: The Projects of Renew Newcastle

3 March 2013 | Posted in: News

Since Renew Newcastle officially launched in October 2008 over 100 projects (106 to be exact!) have had the opportunity to test their creative ideas using properties in Newcastle’s CBD that would have otherwise remained vacant.

In doing so new arts projects, local businesses and community activities are seeded while also maintaining, improving and bringing life back to vacant or disused shop and office spaces and properties awaiting redevelopment.

In the same way that many of these creative enterprises might not have had the opportunity to exist without Renew Newcastle, Renew Newcastle would not exist were it not for the creative capital of each individual behind every one of these projects.

The exhibition 0 to100: The Projects of Renew Newcastle is a tribute to each spark of creative ingenuity that has helped brighten Newcastle’s CBD.

Please join current and former project participants, supporters, volunteers, Board members and staff for a veritable trip down memory lane as we remind ourselves of the range of creative projects which have sprung up under the Renew banner at the official opening.

No RSVP required. Feel free to bring friends.
