Who are you?
I am, we are HoboTechno.
What do you do?
Tim Buchanan is an artist who is intrigued by the effects of the digitisation of the human world. While not bound to any medium, Tim views data and information as the main material that he works with.
Dale Collier is an interdisciplinary artist. Through the utilisation of New Media & Live arts practice Dale’s work provides a platform for the amplified collective experience of memory making in between the public and private spheres.
What inspired you to get involved in Renew Newcastle?
As advocates for the integration of digital arts practice, we think it is important to establish new connections and make the most of the opportunity to contribute to a wide creative network whilst collaborating with other practicing artists.
What will you be doing in your space?
We are place makers, our creative drive stems from a passion for technology and the functioning of complex systems within the arts and society. As HoboTechno we’re working with the idea that experimental & digital arts practice is an important tool that can be utilised in a number of community and cultural development projects.
