Current Call for Proposals - Announced 9 February 2010

Studio and Office space for Creative Professionals – Architects, Web/Graphic/Interior/Industrial Designers, Media Producers, Publishers

Renew Newcastle is currently calling for expressions of interest to be part of our ongoing city revitalisation program. Several large properties on Hunter St and King St have become available for the Renew Newcastle initiative.

The spaces are large – ranging from 1200 square meters to 200 square meters – and generally open plan.

They are recently refurbished, pristine modern office type environments – so nothing messy or needing alterations to the space. The property owner requires immaculate presentation at all times.

Some of the spaces do have street frontage, so activation of the window space could be important. But these properties are located between Steel and Union Sts, so you need not be relying on foot traffic.

We are looking for proposals which will cleverly fill and best utilise the properties, but depending on the proposals we receive, we may need to allocate spaces to be shared.

Best suited for clean office style enterprises such as studio or office space for web design or development, graphic design, interior design, industrial design etc, architecture/urban design, media production, or else no-mess artists like those working with text and digital media.

If you want to be part of Renew Newcastle don't hesitate to get in touch with us.

FUTURE PROPOSAL ROUNDS

Deadline: NOT ANNOUNCED

At this stage we already have a waiting list of all types of applicants - seeking artist studios, office space and exhibition space etc.

We are currently seeking new properties for the initiative.

Once we have new properties, we will invite proposals to suit the available property type, as well as inviting previous applicants whose project proposal might suit that property type.

When we are in a position to seek more projects, we will promote this on our website and facebook group. Or, join our mailing list to keep up to date with announcements - email hello[at]renewnewcastle.org with "Mailing List" in the subject header.
